Meeting RG3 for the First Time

Just three weeks after their wedding, I met RG3 and his wife at a local Dunkin Donuts shop near the Redskins Stadium.  I would not consider myself a sports enthusiast, however if I had to choose a team it would be the Washington Redskins.  I got a good chuckle writing that last line.  Anyway, despite the little I know of the game, I do have an appreciation for RG3.  Not necessarily because he is the quarterback for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League, but because he is down to earth and graceful in his fame.  Congrats to RG3 and Rebecca!  I am also happy to learn that he’s cleared to play.  Best of luck for a new football season!  HTTR!

It's always refreshing when I meet a celebrity in any circle who is down to earth and not afraid to be themselves around people!

Thanks for your post Loretta! RG3 even took a picture with the entire Dunkin Donut Staff after taking individual photos with the 30 people in the store.

It's always fun meeting a celebrity and finding out that they're someone, under different circumstances, could just be one of our friends.

I used to run into celebrities when I lived in Los Angeles. It doesn't happen in Tucson.

I currently reside in LA and did a short stint at Buffalo Wild Wings. Tons of athletes came in all of the time, (one of our owners is a Former Laker). Most of them were just rude. The one I appreciated the most was Cobi Jones. He is a Galaxy legend. He came in during a Galaxy party to sign autographs. Very gracious and pleasant man. I was really impressed with him and stars do not impress. Just wanted to share that. He deserves it.

Funny you asked Dov! My daughter had to go "potty." We just came from a vegan brunch not too far from the Dunkin Donuts.

Don't know who he is because I don't follow sports, however, I guess I better get with it since I have a son who is growing up fast!

I'm looking forward to enjoying a Redskins game via a suite in October. RG3 has a great following in Texas as well from Baylor and I'm delighted for his success.
