Joylyn Jackman is a dynamic, spirited, and energetic young lady that I had the pleasure of teaching in her tenth grade year. Not afraid to display her confidence, Joylyn is a self-starter who believes in taking control of her life. I remember throwing her class a Valentine’s Day party and how Joylyn and her twin sister, Jocelyn, were the first to volunteer their time and prepare for the party. So excited, they created a playlist for the party and homemade decorations that were absolutely adorable. It broke many hearts when we learned of the passing of Joylyn and Jocelyn’s mother a day before our Valentine’s Day celebration. The class was simply devastated and decided to send all the food from the party to the Jackman family. It warmed my heart to see this beautiful gesture. Years later, I think about the Jackman family and I send you all a big hug! Joylyn, you are so sweet and I want you to know that you are LOVED!!!
