Brandon Hairston

PictureAuthor of "Now I Know My ABC's"
Brandon Hairston is a rising urban fiction author from the Washington, DC metro area. Writing wasn’t the obvious career path for Hairston, but he entertained the idea as a way to keep his creativity active outside his work environment. He wrote his first short story in 2009, and was urged by friends and family to consider writing a book. In 2011, Hairston published his first collection of adult short stories, “Now I Know My ABC’s”.  The local success of “Now I Know My ABC’s” further increased his hunger for the craft.  He plans to release his first novel this year.

Tameka Diggs

PictureAuthor of "Love Speaks"
Born and raised in Maryland, Tamika has always had a creative edge.  At the young age of 9 she started writing poetry.  Her mother noticed her writings during the hardship that the family experienced as a result of being raised by a single parent with 3 children, Tamika being the youngest. Her desire and ability to write became her outlet not only emotionally but creatively.

Her most recent book of poetry, Love Speaks, came after making a life changing decision in her life. Tamika entered into a new space in her life.  She felt the need to embrace self love and let go of hurtful relationships.  In doing so, her name went from Quiet Storm to Meek Love.  Love Speaks is a declaration of self love.
