Tameka's support of my work and to my life is wide like the ocean. It is almost 20 years now that we have been in each other’s lives for better and worse. Our relationship has taught me the importance of acceptance and resolve. Tameka may not have always known what to say, but she was there and in the end that is what counts. I can list thousands of things she has done that have been supportive, but if I had to list two, I would say thanks for letting me love your children and play an instrumental part in their lives. I do not take for granted being their favorite auntie in the whole wide world. And the other thing would be, thanks for sitting with me and learning how to hug and to heal this broken heart (tears….). I will need a hug when I see you next.
