When I was in high school, I worked at the neighborhood movie theater. I gradually worked my way up to a manager position and on this journey, fate would have it that Emebet Yared and I would cross paths. Emebet, who is known by many as “Hanna,” not only supervised me and taught me how to thread a movie projector-she taught me the importance of leadership. Hanna did not only create a management team and a motivated staff- she created a family- a family that I cherish. It was wonderful to finally visit Hanna in person after thirteen years. As it typically goes when you catch up with a friend after so many years, one learns of the people that have passed on and the blessings of babies born. This is what time does- it doesn’t wait for any of us. Seeing Hanna again, reminded me of family. Thank you for being generous with your heart. We have benefited from your love and for this Hanna- you are LOVED! From my heart to yours.
